One of the weaknesses in the LT95 gearbox is the fibre oil pump. The weak driveshaft is prone to breaking, particularly if a heavier grade of oil is used. This is a direct fit, all-steel replacement pump kit.
Many military gearboxes already have these fitted; we recommend checking what yours has if you ever have the gearbox out.
This pump is accessed by removing the die-cast alloy plate inside the bellhousing. No further stripping of the gearbox is required. We HIGHLY recommend re-surfacing the alloy cover plate while you are there; these are usually warped and are the main cause of oil leaks into the bellhousing. The gasket for this cover plate comes in our KLR-CK4 clutch kit, or is available separately (see 90571106). This gasket must be used to maintain correct oil pump clearance.
